Memories are usually conveyed by images captured at the discretion of time and discoveries.
Sounds, however, are the driving force elements of a totally different memory that rekindles places and spaces that were visited during a bit of life.

The body is a book, the sound is an excerpt of it, conveying a message that tells a story. It is this sound story that Nouveau Monica chooses to tell throughout its creations. By working on his compositions like a painter does on his canvas, the producer naturally reached the required balance and maturity to disclose a candid and assumed sound palette.
And this is most certainly thanks to this desire to generate images beckoning us to travel, that Nouveau Monica succeeds in revealing his manifestly cinematic vision of an authentic and multidisciplinary electronic music.

The Nouveau Monica project was initiated in 2020, officiating under the name of BBB, Lucas signs a first EP in 2021 on the French label Human Disease Network. The choice of the pseudonym being common and voluntary, the project is set to appear as unpretentious and ephemeral.

But the magic of Internet made one of the tracks, « Bluntin » off of his « Initial » EP, raise the peculiar attention of Bicep who add it in two of their flagship playlists. Realizing the singularity of his productions, Lucas decides to transform his fleeting desire into a proper and viable project; to such an extent that Simon, head of the Human Disease Network label, offers him to sign a second EP.

The producer chooses to turn BBB into Nouveau Monica and reveals « Babouche Brochette Belleville » – an energetic 4-track record mixing raw rythms and meticulous harmonic flights. The album entitled « BBB » compiles, in turn, the old songs and the recently released ones so as to gather all the productions under one flag proudly brandished by Nouveau Monica.

After big shows at Astropolis Festival, Rex Club, and also alongside Laurent Garnier at Warehouse, Nouveau Monica just released a massive new vinyl & digital E.P : ‘Concealed Club Manifesto’ – OUT on Dionysian Mysteries including a remix from Hodge and Impérieux.
